I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Ashtiani. I went to her only for a problem with one tooth, but she insisted on taking new X-rays of all my teeth, even though I had recently had full treatment with another dentist and showed her my X-rays from just a few weeks earlier. When I objected, she told me not to worry because my insurance would cover it.
Afterwards, her office kept calling me, pushing me to come in for multiple root canals. My teeth did not need root canals at all — it was clear these unnecessary treatments were being recommended just because the insurance would pay for them.
In my opinion, this was unprofessional and made me feel like the priority was billing insurance, not patient care.
The doctor was great, the Receptionists were also great, friendly, efficient, and caring, professionals.

X-ray Technician:
Unfortunately the X-ray Tech was not very efficient, not a good listener and did not have empathy for the patients. This X-ray Tech, stands behind you... and without warning throws a heavy X-ray protector cape around the neck of the patient. It was as if she was throwing a heavy saddle, on a horse.
Her bad behavior, and demeanor, was not very nice. She had terrible work ethics, uncouth behavior with no apologies!
Because of this one employee and 1 employee can make a difference I rate Laguna Niguel Dental Office, ***stars.
